Three Stories of Love
Ryosuke Hashiguchi, 2015 (140m)
A lonely bridge inspector devastated by the senseless murder of his wife; a middle-aged housewife neglected by her indifferent husband; an arrogant gay lawyer whose success does not extend to his relationships. Atsushi, Toko and Takashi are three people with very different and unconnected lives, but each is faced with having to cope with personal tragedy and disappointment. Ranked by The Japan Times as the best domestic film of 2015, this is a very real, heart-breaking yet hopeful portrayal of what it means to love and also to lose love.
