Totto-chan: The Little Girl at the Window

In Tokyo, just before World War II, one school combines learning with fun and freedom. This unusual school has old railroad cars for classrooms. It is run by an extraordinary man - Sosaku Kobayashi, a firm believer in freedom of expression and activity. One day, the school welcomes new student Totto-chan - a lively little girl who didn’t fit in at her original school. Totto-chan will meet unique students and learn new things, even as Japan descends into war. This anime adaptation of Tetsuko Kuroyanagi’s beloved and best-selling memoir is certain to make audiences laugh and cry.
